Abstract

Mnemonic devices aid information retention and retrieval of information from long-term memory. The peculiarity of mnemonic devices makes them memorable. An example of a mnemonic device is "My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pies" that is helpful to remember the order of the planets in the solar system by distance from the sun. However, currently there are no automated ways of generating mnemonics, or to generate associated images that help remember the mnemonics. This disclosure leverages the capabilities of a large language model (LLM) and image generation model(s) to automatically generate mnemonics that can aid memory. A user interface is provided to enable users to generate mnemonic phrases based on user input and predefined criteria, or a combination. Visual representations of the generated mnemonic phrase are generated using image generation models to further aid recall. The user interface enables users to provide feedback on the generated phrases, supporting ongoing learning and adaptation of the generation model to individual preferences.
